On Your Marks - By Joanne Bartlett

My running shoes have been on and off over the years mainly for pleasure and overall fitness. Six/seven mile runs have always seen me well within my comfort zone though I have being known to run further on occasions. I have completed two 10k runs for charity and have always wanted to run that extra mile.
-
Now officially registered for my first half marathon I will be running those extra miles in May and am really looking forward to the challenge of running my own pace my own race and making it to the finish line in a reasonable time.
-
Philip is more into pushing the pedals than pounding the pavement though I am hoping maybe later in the year he will dig out his running shoes.
-
Again ruled by the weather here in UK at the moment looks like the next few days will be in the gym. As pretty and picturesque as this snowy weather may be and loved by many it is not so good under foot and tyre for training.

  1. Hi Joanne - the new blog looks great, good to have you back. The nearest they get to a bird on a bike is this jersey: http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodPR_BCJ_0.html . You can see M-C wearing hers here:http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a266/AndyBrickell/?action=view&current=halfway.jpg . The old geezer in the beer shirt is me (her dad in case you didn't see the family resemblance).
