My Legs Did Not Fail Me

Progress
I managed to break through the 6 mile comfort zone that I have kept myself in for such a long time.
I ran 13 miles in 2.18 and believe me I am still in shock!

  3. Thank you for your kind comment, it was a long time coming to push myself from my comfort zone.
Now that I know these legs have more in them than six miles there will be no stopping me! :)

  4. WOW!
    That's awesome, Joanne!
    Very impressive!!!

    (Most I've ever done is about 3 miles...not what you'd call "a runner"... ;)

  5. Thanks Fred I was pretty chuffed with myself as it is the furthest I have ever run.

  6. Hi Joanne,

What sort of detox diet did you go on??
I feel like i need another kickstart!!
I have lost 19 lbs and have reached a near standstill - you make me want to try an extreme measure for just one week!!!

  10. joanne,
thanks for coming over to visit us at Slug's Rest! It was great to see you and come over here to be inspired to shut off the computer and go outside for a "fast slide." You look like a beautiful and fun person to run with. Thanks for reminding me that I should enjoy the great outdoors and strive to push myself farther each and every day. Love from Mrs. Slug in Oregon

  11. By the way, I thought you should know that Mrs. Slug taught her Mr. Slug how to ride a unicycle early in the courtship. I fell in love with him immediately, I enjoyed his willingness to try out one of my interests. We still ride in parking lots from time to time! When we hold hands (I mean tails..) we make a nice bicycle! Mrs. Slug

  12. Congrats on lucky 13...
I want to get back into running. Still a subscriber to Runner's World, though I haven't done so it years. I do the Schwinn Airdyne every day... not the same. Guess the traffic of living in the city (among other things) have kept me from it.
